In 1975 I paid $8 to sit in one of these seats to See Bruce Springsteen at the Allen. Today, I spent $8 to be able to photograph these seats (and three weeks ago I spent $90 to see Bruce Sprinsteen in Cinci). My, how things have changed! This was shot during a group tour of the Allen Theater in Playhouse Square in Cleveland. It was a wonderful shoot!

Cincinnatus
This is a statue of Cincinnatus that stands along the Ohio river in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The name given to Lucius Quinctius was Cincinnatus for his curly hair. Cincinnatus was regarded by the Romans as one of the heroes of early Rome and as a model of Roman virtue and simplicity. Cincinnatus was a Roman statesman who gained fame for his selfless devotion to the republic in a time of crisis and for giving up the reins of power when the crisis was over. He went back to tend his farm and be with his family.George Washington has been called an American Cincinnatus, for his similar devotion to his country, and because he returned to his farm after his service was over.Named in his honor are the town of Cincinnato, Italy, the town of Cincinnatus, New York, and the Society of the Cincinnati which, in turn, lent its name to the city of Cincinnati, Ohio
"Roll me and call me the tumblin dice..."
On a cold rainy Friday we were on a workshop retreat, training our trainers. Cindy (My Training Manager) facilitated most of the session while I added “color commentary” and took photographs. On the tables were typically training rooms toys to occupy the hands. I kept looking at the dice on the table, and the red checkered table cloth. I thought of an old Rolling Stones Song… ”You've got to roll me and call me the tumblin dice.”

I Voted!
Ohio Primary Election Day was last Tuesday, and just for fun, I shot this over lunch at my desk. I considered calling it "Mr. Potatoe Head Votes"...but figured people would mistake my humor for my own terrible spelling.
(This was first posted just after Election day. I just learned how to properly post a photo, so the date seems off. JK)
